Testimonials
Happy Students Speak
Lisa (Algebra)
"Ms. Lyubov is very patient, knowledgeable, and can clearly explain concepts and adapts her teaching style to meet my son’s needs. Not only does she listen she made my son very comfortable and was very supportive. My son has appreciated the time he has spent going over Algebra and has turn his grades around. We would highly recommend Ms. Lyubov as a tutor for math especially Algebra 2."
Valentina (Algebra 2)
"I joined Lubov’s group classes to improve my math grade and deepen my understanding of the subject. Our group lessons helped me a lot — I finally started to understand topics that used to confuse me, and my grade improved significantly! :)"
Maria (Calculus)
I really enjoyed my math classes with my tutor. They were super helpful and made a big difference for me. I was able to catch up on topics I didn’t fully understand before, and my grades improved a lot. The lessons were clear and easy to follow, and I always felt supported. I’d definitely recommend these classes to anyone!
About
Hi, I’m Lyubov Priser — and I believe that math doesn’t have to be intimidating. With the right guidance, it becomes a language of logic, patterns, and discovery.
I bring over 15 years of experience teaching AP Calculus AB/BC and Precalculus, helping students truly understand what they’re doing — not just memorize formulas. Many of my students have gone on to attend universities such as MIT, Stanford, Rice University, UT Austin, Texas A&M, and other highly respected institutions across the country. The feedback I hear most often is: “You were the teacher who explained math in a way that made sense.”
🧠 My Approach to Teaching
-
I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into simple, logical steps
-
I explain why math works — not just how to solve a problem
-
I combine structured thinking with creativity and encouragement
-
I don’t teach shortcuts — I teach real understanding
-
I believe in building confidence, not just grades
-
I recognize that every student learns differently, and I adapt my teaching to match each student’s unique learning and thinking style
👥 Tutoring Options
I offer both one-on-one tutoring (in-person in The Woodlands and online) and small group classes for students who benefit from learning alongside peers in a collaborative environment.
My small groups are intentionally kept small to ensure that each learner receives individual attention, support, and guidance.
Whether your child is struggling with calculus, wants to strengthen algebra skills, improve SAT score or is preparing for the AP exam, I’m here to help them succeed — not just in math, but in building lifelong thinking skills.
